Conditions (“Terms”) govern the access to and use of the website www.meroguru.com and all related services, features,
content, and applications operated by MeroGuru (“MeroGuru”, “we”, “us”,
or “our”). By accessing, browsing, registering, or using this website and its
services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound
by these Terms.
If you do not
agree with these Terms, you must not access or use the website or its services.
1. Purpose
of MeroGuru
MeroGuru is an
online platform designed to assist individuals in finding, connecting with, and
booking experienced gurus (pandits) and religious service providers for Hindu
religious rituals, ceremonies, astrological services, and event-related
services within Australia. The platform is rooted in Hindu traditions and aims
to simplify the planning and execution of religious and spiritual activities.
In addition to
guru services, MeroGuru provides access to related services including catering,
photography, decoration, puja material suppliers, venues, garland suppliers,
jewellery shops, DJ services, and other services commonly required for
religious ceremonies and social functions.
2. Nature of
Services
MeroGuru
operates as a digital service platform that facilitates access to information,
booking tools, coordination services, and online religious and astrological
offerings. Except where expressly stated (such as certain online puja, event
mangement or astrology services), MeroGuru does not itself act as a religious
officiant, astrologer, caterer, decorator, or event contractor.
Services
displayed on the website may be provided by independent gurus or third-party
service providers, and the performance of such services remains the
responsibility of the respective provider.
3.
Eligibility and Use of the Platform
By using
MeroGuru, you confirm that you are at least 18 years of age or accessing the
platform under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian. You agree to use
the website only for lawful purposes and in a manner consistent with religious,
cultural, and community values.
You must not
misuse the platform, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with its operation,
or provide false or misleading information in the platform.
4.
Registration and User Accounts
Certain
features of MeroGuru require users to create an account like registration as a guru
or service provider. When registering as a guru or service provider, you must
provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for
maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities
conducted through your account.
MeroGuru
reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that contain false
information, misuse the platform, or breach these Terms.
5. Guru and
Service Provider Registration
Gurus and
service providers may be registered on MeroGuru either by self-registration or
through registration assisted by MeroGuru administrators. Registration requires
the submission of detailed information including service name, location,
contact details, service description, availability, and other relevant
information.
Gurus are
additionally required to provide information such as gender, gotra, areas of
service, driving availability, professional qualifications, experience,
associated temples, and spoken languages.
All registered
information must be truthful and accurate. MeroGuru reserves the right to
review, verify, approve, modify, suspend, or remove any profile at its
discretion, without prior notice.
6. Mourning
Period Restriction
In accordance
with Hindu religious and cultural practices, any Guru or religious service
provider who is in a recognised mourning period due to the death of an
immediate or close family member must not create, activate, or offer services
through a profile on MeroGuru.com during such period. Gurus are required
to self-assess and comply with this obligation in good faith.
If a Guru is
found to have created, activated, or continued to operate a profile on MeroGuru.com
during a mourning period, MeroGuru reserves the right to automatically and
immediately suspend the profile without prior notice. Such suspension may be
temporary until the mourning period has concluded and is reasonably confirmed,
or permanent at MeroGuru’s sole discretion in cases of repeated non-compliance,
misrepresentation, or breach of trust.
MeroGuru shall
not be liable for any loss, inconvenience, or disruption arising from the
suspension of a Guru’s profile under this clause.
7. Bookings
and Payments
Users may book
services through the MeroGuru platform by selecting a service, providing
required personal or religious details, confirming availability, and completing
payment where applicable. Prices displayed may be fixed, quoted, or
package-based, depending on the service.

puja type, choose a preferred date, provide required religious details (such as

Once confirmed,
the puja will be performed remotely, and the user will be able to witness the

religious customs, timing considerations, and availability.
9.
